Who we are
WEEE Want Your Waste Ltd ("WEEE Want Your Waste", "we", "us") is a licensed waste carrier based in Buckinghamshire, collecting fridges, freezers and electrical waste from businesses across the UK. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, email collections@weeewantyourwaste.co.uk or call 0808 157 0192.
What we collect
We only collect information we need to quote for, carry out and document your collection:
- Contact details: name, company name, email address and phone number.
- Collection details: site address, postcode, access notes, item types and quantities.
- Booking details: requested collection date and time slot.
- Compliance records: waste transfer notes and hazardous waste consignment notes, which we are legally required to keep.
- Technical data: basic, anonymised analytics about how the website is used.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Respond to quote requests and confirm bookings.
- Plan routes and carry out collections.
- Issue waste transfer notes, consignment notes and certificates of recycling.
- Meet our legal obligations under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the WEEE Regulations 2013.
- Improve our website and services.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on: contract (to quote for and carry out your collection), legal obligation (to keep waste documentation), and legitimate interests (to run and improve our business). We never sell your data, and we will only send marketing emails if you have opted in.
How long we keep it
Waste transfer notes are kept for at least two years and hazardous waste consignment records for at least three years, as required by law. Quote enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months.
