You receive the consignment documentation for the panels and any refrigeration equipment.
Staying compliant
The rules, handled for you
- Older panels may contain ozone-depleting blowing agents and must be treated as hazardous waste.
- Panels should not be cut or broken on site, which would release the gases trapped in the foam.
- We keep ODS and non-ODS panels separate so each goes to the correct treatment route.
Questions
Cold room panels FAQs
Can you dismantle the cold room?
Yes. We can dismantle and remove the full room, including doors, condensers and evaporators.
How do I know if my panels contain ODS?
Panels made before around 2004 are likely to contain ODS. If you are unsure, send us photos and any labels and we will advise.
Do the panels need to be palletised?
No, but stacked panels are quicker to load. We can bring our own pallets and straps.
