WEEEWANT YOUR WASTE

Mattress collection

Mattresses are bulky, awkward and often refused by tips and councils. We collect them on the same visit as fridges and electricals, then send them to a partner facility where the steel springs, foam and fibre are separated for recycling.

Staying compliant

The rules, handled for you

  • Collected by a registered waste carrier under our Environment Agency registration.
  • Businesses have a duty of care to pass waste only to authorised carriers. We provide the paperwork to prove it.
  • Heavily soiled or wet mattresses may need special handling. Mention it in your booking notes.

Questions

Mattresses FAQs

How much does mattress collection cost?

£45 for the first mattress and £35 for each one after that, on the same booking.

Can I add mattresses to a fridge or sofa collection?

Yes. Add each item type to the same booking and we collect everything in one visit.

Are mattresses POPs waste?

No. Current guidance on POPs covers upholstered seating, not mattresses, so they can go for recycling.
